Student Opportunities
Scholarships
A limited number of scholarships will be available for those wishing to attend the FPS IC and are seeking undergraduate or graduate degrees in a related wood science field, as well as those in doctoral programs. These scholarships will be evaluated by the FPS IC Organizing Committee and awarded after being scored by a variety of factors.
Student scholarships will include complimentary student registration to attend the FPS International Conference and one-year student membership (or renewal) in FPS.
Student scholarship recipients must submit an abstract and present at the IC.
Deadline for applications is March 20, 2026.
Poster Competition
If you would like to be included in the Student Poster Competition be sure to select “student poster” when submitting your abstract.
Student posters will be judged on content, appearance, and ability to communicate the research effectively to judges.
Prizes include a $500 First Place prize, $300 Second Place prize, and $200 Third Place prize.
Submit your abstract by February 15, 2026!
